This report is a compilation of new research, tools and frameworks that are needed to find new ways to conceptualize outdoor recreation and enhance the ability to provide those opportunities while protecting natural and cultural resources. The report originated from a set of 17 working papers as part of an initiative to “ignite the science of outdoor recreation.
